Cheers to the indoor-outdoor feeling
Inside, the atmosphere is cosy and rustic, while outside on the terrace, there is a carefree summer mood: a small, cosy hotel on Lake Constance knows exactly how to create an indoor-outdoor feeling. Despite the wide range of activities on offer around the hotel, it is worth spending the day enjoying the culinary delights of the Bodensee Hotel Kreuz: from the extensive breakfast buffet to dinner. And because some evenings should simply never end, the fun continues in the hotel’s own bar. We’re sure you’ll find a reason to raise a glass!
Good prospects for a morning just the way you like it
At the Hotel Restaurant Kreuz Reichenau on Lake Constance in Germany, there is a little bit more of everything – and that also applies to the daylight in the restaurant: the numerous windows, some of which extend from floor to ceiling, allow plenty of vitamin D into the room. Vitamin C is provided by the juices from the breakfast buffet, which, incidentally, leaves (almost) nothing to be desired with its wide range of options. The buffet is presented as if on a small stage. During the day, the breakfast room is transformed into a restaurant. From there, the transition to the bar is seamless.
Summer, stay a while, you are so beautiful!
Large white parasols provide shade on the outdoor terrace of the Bodensee Hotel Kreuz Restaurant in summer, making breakfast and dinner a pleasure. Sitting slightly elevated, you can enjoy your meal in small or large groups on either side of the historic building. The outdoor terrace serves all the delicacies that you can also order indoors, namely: tasty German cuisine made with regional ingredients – from beef broth to roast beef with onions and burgers to apple strudel.
One more to go... Barge whispers at the Lake Constance Hotel Kreuz
A place for conversation – it’s not uncommon for conversations at the bar to play a leading role in films and television. The Hotelbar Bodensee is the epitome of communication, as the curved bar invites conversation not only with neighbours but also with those sitting opposite. Whether spirits or non-alcoholic drinks, you can choose from a well-stocked selection. Wood as the dominant element and softly upholstered bar stools with and without backrests whisper: one more drink…
From farm to guesthouse
The insider tip Hotel Bodensee is not only the Hotel Kreuz accommodation, but also the hotel’s own restaurant. In 1770, the oldest part of the site, the old building, was used as a farm and later as a post horse stable. It was converted into a guesthouse and has always been home to gastronomic facilities. And these are quite extensive: the breakfast room and restaurant area each have access to the sun terrace. Home-style cooking with regional ingredients is served. Grandma’s beef broth ‘Flädle’ provides energy, the Swiss sausage salad honours the geographical neighbours, and the main course serves German classics with Allgäu cream schnitzel and Swabian Maultaschen. The dessert journey crosses the border into Austria with apple strudel – or takes a longer trip north with Couple Danmark. Pasta dishes, burgers and vegetarian options are also available. Kids can look forward to classics such as schnitzel, nuggets and spaetzle.
