Moments of pleasure in the heart of Heidelberg
Straight to the point
For many guests, exploring the local area in search of hidden restaurant gems is a favorite pastime, whether on vacation or a business trip. And being rewarded with a delicious meal is one of the greatest pleasures. But sometimes, it’s just nice not to have to go anywhere at all – simply to step from your room or conference space straight into the restaurant or bar. The Chester Hotel Heidelberg features not only a breakfast room, but also a restaurant and bar, both conveniently located right on your way.
A feast for the eyes
The restaurant at the Hotel Chester Heidelberg is truly beautiful. And although it seats 80 people, including the breakfast area, it exudes a pleasant sense of calm. This is certainly due to the color scheme of cream and natural tones, which give the interior a subdued feel, but also to the columns that visually divide the space into different areas. Large windows and white curtains soften the harshness of the daylight. To keep things from getting boring, the red leather benches add a touch of color.
Our breakfast hours are:
Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Weekends and holidays: 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
The Bar
We don’t want to fuel any stereotypes, but after the conference, there are two paths: one leads to bed, and the other to the bar. In the case of the Hotel Chester Heidelberg, the second option is definitely worth considering, as the well-stocked bar has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to leave business behind and catch up with colleagues over drinks. Of course, this also works with friends and family—after a day of sightseeing in Heidelberg or a celebration.
À la carte is always in season
German cuisine—or rather, culinary specialties from the Rhine-Neckar region—are a must for anyone visiting Heidelberg for its food. The selection of excellent restaurants serving regional, national, and international dishes in the area around the Chester Hotel Heidelberg is sure to make your mouth water. But we’ll take our cue from Goethe, who, incidentally, visited Heidelberg on several occasions and is said to have remarked: “Why wander far away when the good things are so close at hand?” In our case, we’re referring to dinner at the hotel’s small à la carte restaurant (and the day and evening bar). The refined, seasonally changing menu features regional delicacies as well as popular classics. The setting is relaxed, with plenty of natural light and light-colored furnishings. Whether you’re traveling alone or with your coworkers, you’ll find a lovely spot in our restaurant.
